Yep, EZS3 does give you stats on how many times your videos have been viewed and how people got to them.

It also allows you to put your videos in multiple formats so it may be the ticket for what you are wanting to do. I purchased Eben Pagan's Wake Up Productive video course a while back and he delivered that using Amazon S3. He had it embedded on a membership site and also had a download link for the MP4 version which I downloaded and put on my Ipod…very handy. If this is the sort of thing your are thinking about doing EZS3 would definitely be worth checking out.

Thanks for getting back to me. Glad you enjoyed your holiday. Since i posted the comment, i decided to host the videos on my own server and creating my own very basic player, which seems to be doing the trick for now.

Tell me. When you go down the EZS3 route, do you get analytics on your videos? Like how many times its been played etc etc?

Anyhow. I have to start offering paid videos soon. Do you know if using EZS3 i could sell paid videos? To be honest im going to give an MP4 as the download, so im thinking if i can find a shopping cart that allows me to send download links from a server once payment has been made, that should more than do the trick.

My introductory videos are all free anyhow.

Sorry to take so long getting back to you, I've been on holidays (which was great).

As far as I know there is no limit on Blip.tv at this point although they do have a premium service (about $10 per month from memory). The premium service just lets you upload more videos and gives you a couple of other features.

One thing that I have since discovered is that they definitely have a TV mindset and will suspend accounts that they deem too promotional. That actually happened to me and in my opinion my videos were certainly more content driven then promotional but at the end of the day it's up to them to decide that.

It's a major pain in the bum to have to go and re-host your videos if that happens and so it's something to consider. I know Andrew Lock at http://helpmybusiness.com has a internet TV show and he promotes lots of affiliate offers and so perhaps it just the style of delivery that they are fussy on.

Viddler is certainly a good option, they provide good quality and no upload limit.

I've personally switched to hosting my videos on Amazon S3 and use EZS3 to manage them. That cost me $20 per month and then I pay Amazon peanuts each time someone views my video. I like that because I now control what happens to my videos.
