Renegade Marketers – Who’s List Are You Building?

So Who’s List Are You Building?

One of the most important things you can ever do as an Internet or Network marketer is build a list of customers. There are some marketers that will write articles or do PPC advertising and send people straight to the merchants sales page or lead capture page. Talk about leave money on the table!

For some people this seems to work but I would much rather capture my own leads so that I can establish a connection with those people and maintain an on-going relationship. The only way to do this is to build your own list.

You want to be promoting yourself first and foremost.

Lets look at the process when you refer someone to The 7 Great Lies Of Network Marketing:

When you direct someone to The Renegade System’s, ‘The 7 Great Lies of Network Marketing‘ landing page, it is obviously coded to you and so any sales through that page will be credited to you. Additionally, you will also get the person’s details and they will then become your lead.

When they sign up for the 7 G’s free report, they get taken to a thank you page. They will see a video and hear Ann Sieg’s voice explaining how to get the report. This is really good but is it branding you or Ann Sieg?

At this point, the person has agreed to receive correspondence.  They have agreed to receive it from who though? The Renegade System of course, not you.

In all fairness, there is a clause in the 80/20 marketing privacy policy that states that you are able to contact a prospect that has opted-in to receive The 7 Great Lies of Network Marketing through your link, but how many people really read these clauses? Not many at all I would guess.

So now the person is getting email from Ann Sieg promoting The Renegade Network Marketer. These email of course contain your affiliate links.

These email are really well written and are designed to convert The 7 Great Lies of Network Marketing prospects into Renegade Network Marketer ebook sales.

Again, the only problem I have with this is it is not promoting you but rather Ann Sieg.

If you send the prospect email on-top of the email they are already getting from The Renegade Network Marketer System, they are likely to get either confused or annoyed.

When it comes time to call a prospect that has purchased The Renegade Network Marketer Ebook through your link, you will have a much smoother conversation if they have come through your marketing process.

When a person has followed your recommendation from your website or article, and then received your follow-up email, they start to get the idea that you are the expert in this picture.

When they decide to act and purchase what you are offering, in this case, The Renegade Network Marketer Ebook, they will not be surprised to hear your voice on the phone when you call to offer them assistance.

If on the other hand, you sent someone directly to The Renegade opt-in page and that was the last they heard from you, the chances of them being surprised when you call for the first time are high.

This means that you have to overcome this in the initial moments of the call as opposed to a warm greeting because they feel that they already know you. The difference is night and day.

You need to have your own voice and your own style. You really do need to be promoting yourself first. I totally admire and respect Ann Sieg, but at the end of the day, I would prefer to build my own list and not hers.

Ann Sieg is the first person to agree with this. She has always taught people to take control of their own marketing. This means having your own list so that you can control what is sent out.

When you first get started, using The Renegade Network Marketer landing pages is great. You can be promoting within minutes if you like, but I would strongly recommend getting set up to build your own list as soon as possible.

These days I use a online service called Oprius to manage all of my leads and contacts.  Apart from keep track of every lead and customer in your sales process, Oprius allows you to create landing pages and send email through their autoresponder. For under $15 per month it can’t be beaten in my opinion.

Here is a video showing you how to make a 7 Great Lies of Network Marketing landing page in under 5 minutes!

So as you can see, building your own landing pages is actually very easy indeed using the Oprius system. You can get a 30 Day Free Trial and see how you like it. If you want the coding for the landing page that was created in this video, just come back here and request it through the ‘Contact’ link.

Happy List Building :) .
