MLM Launch Formula – Should I or Shouldn’t I?

By Steve Anderson On June 7, 20106 Comments

For quite a while I was deliberating on whether I should promote Johnathon Budd’s MLM launch formula or not. One of the main reasons for sitting on the fence was I didn’t really have any idea as to whether it would be worth it or not (the fact that my good friend and trusted business associate Ann Sieg was promoting it certainly influenced my decision).

As soon as I heard the price I already decided that I would buy it for myself. At $297 I figured it was a very fair price for what is being promised. In the 5 videos that were part of the MLM Launch Formula there was a segment that talked about making an “Irresistible Offer” to your list in order get them to take action and join you in business. Well it seems Johnathon Budd and Mark Hoverson practice what they preach, here’s a list of what they are offering for people that act fast when they open the doors;

Fast Action Bonuses:

  • The first 10 people have PERSONAL time with Mark Hoverson & Johnathon Budd.
  • The first 25 people will get 3 Months FREE Tuition to Johnathon Budd’s $997 inner circle group mentoring program.
  • The first 50 people will get to be on a webinar with Johnathon Budd’s traffic guru where he will reveal the sources of where they get over 400 leads per day.
  • The first 100 people will get tickets to Mark Hoverson’s Marketing summit live event
  • The first 200 people will go in the draw to win a $1000 cash

If you are thinking about buying this course then getting on the early bird notification list would be a good idea because you’ll get access 1 hour early.

Bonuses Everyone Gets

  • Bonus #1 – Access to Johnathon’s “High End Consulting Formula”
  • Bonus #2 – A look behind the scenes of a 6 day $323, 000 launch that Mark Hoverson did
  • Bonus #3 – Access to the MLM Launch Formula private community

I have a feeling that the information within the MLM Launch formula is going to far outweigh the cost and with the bonuses thrown in I think it will be exception value.

Upsells?

With every launch comes upsells, so what will it be with this product I wonder? I don’t know for sure but I wouldn’t mind putting a little bet on access to Johnathon’s 7 Figure Networker System (if you follow the link you’ll find out what that’s all about) and then there will probably be a personal mentoring program or something like that.

Anyway it should be an  interesting launch and I look forward to posting my thoughts about this course as I work my way through it.

What do you think about MLM Launch Formula so far, will you buy it?

How Do I Go About Making The Renegade Network Marketer Work For Me And My Business?

By Steve Anderson On February 20, 2009 View Comments

This is where the rubber meets the road! It is time to put that mlm Internet marketing buggy in gear and make something happen.

Up until this point we have been talking about how good The Renegade Network Marketer is in theory, but what is required to actually make Ann Sieg's Renegade System work for you and your mlm business?

Marketing Specifically...Internet Marketing

You are probably thinking great, I wouldn't have the faintest idea to even start and so there goes that idea! Don't despair, it is actually easier than you think.

It is a good idea not to just rush out there and start marketing because you run the risk of wasting your time and money if you are not careful. You really need to sit down and get a very clear picture of what it is that you are aiming for and then things will go a lot smoother.

The first place to start is to sit down and work out who your target market is. There are a number of ways in which you can market The Renegade Network Marketer Ebook and each one will require a different strategy.

Lets take a look at the video below to understand the 3 broad target markets that you can market to with The Renegade Network Marketer.

The Renegade Network Marketer Pipeline Video - Deciding on Your Target Market

Targeting the right market is so critical in the whole process and if you get this part of your marketing right, the rest will come more easily. In the next post in this series I cover how targeting retail customers for you mlm products may end up being more lucrative than you might think and at the same time bring you the hottest leads you could ever generate.

The Renegade Marketer, Hardware Stores, and House Building?

By Steve Anderson On February 20, 2009 View Comments

What's The Common Link

You are probably wondering what on earth is the connection between Ann Sieg's Renegade Network Marketer System and building a house?

Well sometimes an analogy is quite handy to understand a concept and in this module we will explore the concept of being an affiliate marketer...

When you become an affiliate of a particular company, lets say Amazon for example, you are basically a sales rep for that company. When you send a person to the Amazon e-store and they make a purchase, you get a commission on that sale.

When you make a sale for Amazon, they get the customers details and they will follow up with that customer to get as many repeat sales as they can.

When Amazon makes a follow-on sale, guess who gets the commission on that sale? Not you that is for sure!

You only get the commission on the initial sale and that is it.

Many affiliate programs are structured like this, which is pretty crumby because you where the one that brought the customer to them in the first place.

The Renegade Network Marketer Affiliate program is structured differently though and is what is termed a life-time customer affiliate program. This means that you will continue to receive commission on every purchase that a person makes in the back end of The Renegade System for the lifetime of that customer.

What's all this Backend talk about?

Think of it like this. A hardware store puts out a fantastic manual on how to build a house. The sale of the manual is what is called the 'Frontend' sale.

You purchase this manual which tells you about all the benefits of building your own house, you are now going to need the right materials and tools to do so. A 'Backend' sale is when you go to the hardware store and purchase the tools and materials you need to build that house.

So imagine if you could recommend that same fantastic book on how to build a house that the hardware store had written, and get paid 50% on the sale of that book.

When someone who bought the book from you goes into the hardware store to get something they need, you get paid a commission on any purchase they make!

This is basically what The Renegade Network Marketer System does for you.

Furthermore, when the person buys the manual off your recommendation, you and only you get that person's full details.

This person knows they want to build a house, and they now know where to get the tools in order to build the house, but they may not yet have a model. The model is your mlm company (i.e. xyz nutritional) and your business model.

Now just because this person purchased the manual from you doesn't guarantee that they will like your model. They may already have their own model or prefer something different.

To make The Renegade Network Marketer system work, you will need to become a consultant, like a sales assistant that makes recommendations based on the customers needs. This is how you position yourself as a professional that people seek out for advice.

Some people know exactly what they want when they enter the shop and other people have no clue at all, your job is to sort out which one is which and help the ones that need it.

The genius of The Renegade Network Marketer System is that even if a person doesn't like your model (your mlm company or products), they will more than likely still go on to use the manual and purchase the tools they need and you will get paid a commission on these sales for life!

So basically you do the marketing work once and then get paid over and over on your efforts and that is the way it should be.

Now that you know that concept of the Renegade Marketing System the next thing to explore is how to find people to market this info-product to. This is basically what is referred to as target marketing and in the next post in this series we will explore how that works.

How Can Ann Sieg’s Renegade System Build Your MLM Business?

By Steve Anderson On February 20, 2009 View Comments

This is the fun part. Although it's interesting to learn how The Renegade Network Marketer came about...it's the future and particularly YOUR future and how Ann Sieg's Renegade Network Marketer relates it.

So let's take a look at how The Renegade System can help you grow your mlm business...

I have been working with Ann Sieg as a consultant since 2006 and have interviewed many hundreds of frustrated network marketers during that time.

The most common complaint I hear over and over again is not having enough qualified prospects to speak with.

The next problem that comes up very often is a lack of cash flow in the business and no marketing budget.

In the diagram below (which I call the 5 Elements), you will see that there are 4 main elements and then there is the 5th element, YOU.

There is a reason that it's in the center and that's because you are the most important part of the whole process (initially that is).

Without you and your actions in the other 4 areas, nothing happens.

All of these elements feed each other and this is what I call the generative cycle based on the ancient Chinese Model.

5 Elements of Attraction Marketing

Lets Break It Down...

  • Marketing - Once you have exhausted your warm market, this is going to be the only way to get prospects to come to you and ask you for information about your product or business opportunity. One of the biggest problems is that if people are paying high prices on an Autoship, this often leaves little or no money for a marketing budget.
  • Prospects - This is rather obvious but without a steady flow of prospects it will be very hard to achieve consistent growth in your business.
  • Action - Action is required at every step of the way however, if you have no marketing budget and no prospects coming to you, then it is likely that you will be reduced to the ineffective action of prospecting friends, family, and random strangers in shopping mall. This is a very common scenario in mlm.
  • Sales - Although it is often taught that if our products are so great we just need to share them with people. When you are getting paid commissions for 'Sharing', it by default becomes sales. There are certain skill sets that will increase your sales conversions and this in turn will give you cash flow that you will be able to re-invest into expanding your marketing. Sales skill combined with high quality leads is the ultimate recipe for mlm success.
  • You - Most people are attracted to the model of network marketing because of the ability to earn passive or residual income. In the early days the You in the generative cycle will be very important however as your organization begins to grow, bit by bit you will be able to extract yourself from this cycle and your business will still continue expand.

So Where Does Ann Sieg's Renegade Network Marketer Fit Into This Picture?

In the post, The Next Level In MLM Lead Generation, we covered how Ann Sieg had tapped into her upline's marketing system and used that as a stepping stone until she was able to build her own lead generation system.

Well that is what Ann Sieg is allowing you to do with the Renegade Marketing System. How So?

Well remember in the post, A Light Bulb Goes Off In Ann Sieg's Head, we covered how Ann Sieg attracted prospects to her sales page and they purchased her info-product and at the same time they become a qualified lead for her business?

Ann Sieg gives you your very own sales page for The Renegade Network Marketer Ebook allowing you to sell an info-product and get paid for it and at the same time generate your own Pre-Qualified mlm Leads!

How Does It Work?

When you buy the The Renegade Network Marketer Ebook you have the option of becoming an affiliate of The Renegade System. When you are a Renegade affiliate you get your very own Renegade Affiliate link. This link leads to your very own Renegade Network Marketer Sales page and when you send someone to that page and they make a sale, you get the commission for it, $33.50 to be exact.

On top of this, the person that purchased The Renegade Network Marketer Ebook becomes your pre-qualified mlm lead. You get all of their contact details including their mailing address. You and only you makes contact with that person from that point on.

Further more, whenever that prospect makes a purchase in the 'Backend' of the Renegade System, you also get paid commission on that sale also (more on the Renegade System Backend in the next post)!

So that is how you get paid to sell excellent information on building a network marketing business and generate a pre-qualified mlm lead at the same time.

In the next post of this series I cover how positioning yourself as an expert puts you in a prime position to sponsor people into your mlm business, in fact they will insist that they work with you and only you.

The 7 Great Lies of Network Marketing Didn’t Just Rock The Boat

By Steve Anderson On February 20, 2009 View Comments

It Turned The Boat Upside Down!

ann-sieg-videoIn the previous post,  Ann Sieg's Renegade Network Marketer Rocks The MLM Boat, I wrote about the two concepts that Ann Sieg teaches in her Renegade Network Marketer system that made her very unpopular in some mlm circles;

  1. Multiple Streams of Income
  2. Becoming an Independent Business owner rather than just a sales rep for a mlm company

They sound pretty harmless right?

Even like a good idea...

But if you go to a mlm hotel meeting, a mlm training convention, or an opportunity meeting you most likely won't find any reference to these two concepts.

After nearly twenty years of slogging it out and not getting far, Ann Sieg uncovered some mlm secrets that were only known to insiders and rarely ever talked about publicly.

When Ann wrote her report spilling the beans there were a lot of people that were not happy...

Ann Sieg's "7 Great Lies of Network Marketing" Free Report

This is where most of the boat rocking started. In the very first post in this series, Who Is Ann Sieg And Where Did She Come From, you read about all of the prospecting methods that she had exhausted (perhaps you related to her story)...

These outdated methods are still being taught to new mlm distributors today... in the year 2009!

Ann Sieg bundled these ineffective mlm prospecting methods up into a free report she called, The 7 Great Lies Of Network Marketing. It's a very punchy 37 page report that exposes these ineffective methods that are perpetuating the woeful failure statistics in the mlm industry.

You might not realize it, but you’re seconds away from what could be your BIGGEST business-building breakthrough of your career...

Ann’s famous for over delivering and providing massive value in her legendary special reports.

And believe me, this one is no different.

Out of every special report released online within the past couple years, I would say Ann’s “The 7 Great Lies of Network Marketing” has made the biggest impact.

Over 250,000 people (and counting) have downloaded a copy and from what I hear many have been completely transformed (both professionally and personally) by what they read inside.

Many people who have been around the network marketing industry for any length of time resonated very strongly with Ann's report.

In fact, I have heard stories of burnt-out mlmers who quit long ago reading this report and then getting back into the game with a fresh perspective!

You can read my full review of Ann's 7 Great Lies of Network Marketing Report Here...

In the next article of this series we'll start to delve into the system that Ann put together to help you leverage off her experience to allow you to build a business in the same way that she did.

The Renegade Network Marketer Rocks The MLM Boat…

By Steve Anderson On February 20, 2009 View Comments

And The Captains of the MLM Luxury Cruise Liners Were Not Happy!

Every now and then everything needs a good shake up and the mlm industry is no exception.  I am sure Ann Sieg heard this more than once leading up to the launch of The Renegade Network Marketer;

Don't rock the mlm boat Ann Sieg!

There was no way Ann Sieg wasn't going to live up to her new title, The Renegade Network Marketer and so rock the boat she did...

Any form of change is always going to be meet with some resistance, particularly when there are large sums of money at stake.

There are a lot of areas within Ann Sieg's 2 reports; The Renegade Network Marketer & The 7 Great Lies Of Network Marketing that go very much against the grain of what has been traditionally taught in the mlm industry.

There are 2 concepts that she addresses that really got the mlm head honchos and the heavy hitters hot under the collar and they were;

1. The Concept of Multiple Streams of Income

2. Becoming a independent business owner rather than a sales rep for a mlm company

Multiple Streams of Income

It is amusing that the 'Heavy Hitters' are crying this theory down while at the same time they well know that it has been their bread and butter all along.

When I joined my first mlm, I went to a company convention that was put on by the 'Top Dogs' of that company in my country.

It was really not much more than a hype fest but the thing that I remember most was that they were recommending a generic website (totally useless now that I am in the know), business cards, postcards, and other promotional materials.

Do you suppose they were getting commissions on all of those sales?

Of course they were!

So all the poor old mlm 'foot troops' were funding their trips around the country so they they could continue this cycle of multiple streams on income, all funneled right into their coffers (I shouldn't be so cynical but I have seen it with my own eyes).

Is it any wonder they were a little annoyed when Ann Sieg blew the lid on this one?

The mlm companies also enjoy their fair share of multiple Streams of income too don't worry!

Now that mlmers are becoming savvy in the area of Internet marketing, all of those promotional products that they produce and sell are becoming less an less needed, which is of course cutting into their bread and butter also!

Independent Business Owners Over Being a mlm Sales Rep

Ann Sieg is absolutely passionate about this topic. She is a huge advocate of people being independent business owners. This means that you have the right to promote what you want and to who.

I have had people scared to promote affiliate products on the Internet for fear of being in breach of their mlm company policies!

So your mlm company can tell you that you are not allowed to promote a web hosting company or other affiliate products?

I don't think any policy would actually hold water on this one but the point is that people actually come to me with these concerns and so the fear has already be instilled in them even if the mlm companies have no legal right to enforce such draconian policies.

I was once considering promoting a mlm company's products in my acupuncture clinic and in their policy fine print I found that I was not allowed to put any other products on my shelf!

I am sorry, but I use and recommend a variety of herbs and health products and will make a recommendation based on what is actually best for the patient.

Who do they think they are to tell me I don't have this right and freedom (Boy I thought Ann Sieg was passionate about this but as I type I can feel my temperature rising!).

The point is that mlm companies have tried to control the way people operate for far too long and with the Internet starting to take over, things are going to change and Ann Sieg's teachings in The Renegade Network Marketer are on the forefront of this change which is why she and her Renegade System is so unpopular within the upper ranks of some of the prominent mlm companies.

You only have to read some of the testimonials about Ann Sieg's Renegade Network Marketer and you will see that she has her fair share of raving fans though.

The majority of these people are the everyday MLMer's who have been struggling...they can relate to Ann Sieg's message very easily.

In the next post in this series you will see that Ann's Free ebook, The 7 Great Lies Of Network Marketing more than rocked the boat, it turned the boat upside down.

The Birth of Ann Sieg’s Renegade Network Marketer

By Steve Anderson On February 20, 2009 View Comments

No birth is without it's share of labor pains and the birth of Ann Sieg's new lead generation system, The Renegade Network Marketer was no exception.

Anything that was going to have such an impact on the mlm industry, particularly when large sums of money are involved, was bound to have it's share of roadblocks along the way...

In June 2007 Ann Sieg had done all the hard work needed to transition from selling someone else's Info-product to selling her own.

Ann Sieg braced herself for the impending storm and went to market with her new system that was going to send shock waves through the mlm industry.

What Ann Sieg was releasing was more than just an Info-product though, it was a complete system, she aptly named it Renegade Network Marketer System.

There were some significant changes in the delivery mechanism. The Info-product Ann Sieg would be offering people would now be delivered via the Internet.

This was a very smart move because it cuts out printing and the shipping & handling costs. The other benefit would be that the purchaser would get the information immediately rather than having to wait for a week or more.

The Renegade Network Marketer System is an affiliate program. This means that when you promote The Renegade System you are basically able to promote an info-product just as Ann Sieg did and make a profit on the sale of that product and at the same time generate a Pre-Qualified mlm Lead for your mlm business.

This is often called a funded proposal or a self liquidating offer. The purpose of selling this information on the front end is more about covering you advertising costs while generating leads. If you make a profit it's a bonus.

On top of this, Ann Sieg has incorporated many of the best Internet marketing affiliate programs into The Renegade System which makes a very power combination of affiliate and network marketing, more on this later...

Before we get too far into it, lets take a look at why Ann Sieg named her system, The Renegade Network Marketer.

Duplication Gone Wild… Ann Sieg’s Team Goes On A Sponsoring Spree!

By Steve Anderson On February 20, 2009 View Comments

Anyone in the mlm industry will tell you that duplication is the name of the game. It never quite works like the geometric progression models that are often used to describe the mlm compensation plans at the mlm meetings.

We are about about to see that with the Pre-Qualified mlm Leads that Ann Sieg was generating it was as close to geometric expansion as it comes...

Ann Sieg was happily selling an info product and generating leads for her mlm organization. Ann Sieg had also learned that coaching your downline was an important factor in duplication and so she was also putting a lot of time into training her organization.

Naturally the leaders would rise to the top and so the whole team was now growing and developing in a very smooth and predictable way.

The cash flow that Ann Sieg was generating through the mlm retail sales was allowing her to ever expand her marketing efforts and she was soon popping up everywhere you looked on the Internet with anything to do with mlm.

With this massive flow of Pre-Qualified mlm Leads and the excellent additional sales training she was providing for her team, things started to happen very quickly.

It was not uncommon for people in Ann Sieg's Team to routinely sponsor 15-20 people into the business each and every month.

Ann Sieg was responsible for over 80% of the growth of her mlm company. They could not print the course books and Cd's fast enough and Ann Sieg's ever growing team couldn't keep up with the requests for consultations.

Not a bad problem to have but never the less a problem...

When you are dealing with a physical product (book and CD) you have the cost of production and also the cost of having it shipped. There were occasions when Ann Sieg had to take her sales page down as the printers could NOT keep up with the orders and her team couldn't keep up with the consultation requests.

So what now...

Ann Sieg had been documenting and testing everything her team was doing. She was now working on her own information product that was going to tie in all of the experiences of her struggles in the mlm industry and her seemingly mercurial rise to success (I say seemingly because although the success appeared to come suddenly, there was many years of intense study that allowed her to arrive at this point).

This information product was going to be more than just a product, it was going to be a system that would allow other people to build their own mlm organizations using the exact steps that she had taken.

While Ann Sieg's team was wildly duplicating, she was feverishly devouring information from all the hottest affiliate and Internet marketers.

She was about to move from top gear and hit the turbo charger on her mlm organization while at the same time shake up some very old foundations in the mlm industry.

A Light Bulb Goes Off In Ann Sieg’s Head…

By Steve Anderson On February 20, 2009 View Comments

And Her Marketing Machine Starts To Crank

There is a great saying;

'Bright Ideas Are a Dime a Dozen but Those Who Implement Them Are Rare Indeed'.

As we will see, Ann Sieg had a very bright idea and she went on to implement it with amazing precision which lead to results that only most people dream about.

Obviously Ann Sieg had honed her sales skills and was certainly operating at a very professional level.

She was seeing consistent results but as mentioned before, her downline was floundering as a result of NOT having access to the excellent Pre-Qualified mlm Leads that she had access to.

Another problem with working these mlm leads was that it meant sending out an informational CD and a brochure by mail. This cost time and money with no guarantee that these prospects were really interested in what she was offering.

There had to be a more effective way...

It was now time for Ann Sieg to turn her attention to marketing and figure out how to make this a more profitable and efficient process.

Any marketing campaign always starts with identifying a problem and a need in the market place and then targeting the people with that particular problem.

Ann Sieg choose to address the needs of the struggling and frustrated mlmers. This was a market that she could easily identify with as she had spent so many years in that situation personally.

You will often hear that the most important thing to brand is yourself (rather than your mlm products or opportunity) and that is exactly what Ann Sieg did.

She called her organization Ann Sieg Consulting and had a website built around this brand.

The next thing to do was generate Pre-Qualified mlm Leads and lots of them, here is what happened...

As mentioned, Ann Sieg's method of working mlm leads was inefficient from a standpoint of time, money, and energy. It was in relation to this situation that the Light Bulb Switched On in Ann Sieg's Head.

She came up with a way to turn this situation completely upside down.

The mlm sales and marketing training company Ann Sieg was representing at the time had a retail product, a mlm training course that consisted of a book and a CD.

Ann Sieg decided that if she could retail that course she would not only get the profits from the retail sale but would also get a very qualified mlm lead at the same time and so that is exactly what she did...

This meant that instead of Ann Sieg having to pay to send information to prospects, they would actually pay her for the information and pay for the postage.

In addition to this, these customers would become a pre-qualified prospect she or her team could follow up with and offer additional related products and services.

The course was part of the solution but subscribing to the more comprehensive mlm training provided by Ann Sieg's mlm company could be offered as a follow on sale.

The other thing that would happen quite naturally was that some customers would make Ann Sieg's mlm company part of their overall business portfolio and promote it as a secondary mlm opportunity in combination with their existing mlm business.

Talk about win/win!

She put together a sales page that identified very strongly with the frustrations and pain that people in the mlm industry were feeling and then offered a solution with this mlm training course.

Ann Sieg launched the sales page and for a day or two nothing happened, a few minor tweaks here and there and all of a sudden sales started to trickle in.

Over time that trickle became a torrent that was so strong her team or company couldn't handle the volume.

On the sales page there was a, 'Request a Free Consultation' form. The people that filled out that form would naturally be followed up by Ann Sieg or one of her team members from 'Ann Sieg Consulting'.

This is how I first meet Ann Sieg a number of years ago and I still vividly remember that sales page; the layout, the picture of Ann Sieg on that page, and the headline. It was a marketing masterpiece and pulled like crazy, day and night all over the globe!

That sales page was very long and compelling reading. I took a couple of reads before I hit the buy button. I had to call Ann's office because my credit card wouldn't process as I was in Australia.

I actually spoke with Ann and I still remember that conversation (she sure didn't have to sell me anything, I was already well and truly sold by the time I spoke to her).

I purchased that mlm training course and requested a consultation however I had already joined Ann Sieg's mlm company training by the time one of her consultants called me.

This is the true power of marketing!

Let's put it in perspective...

I went to Ann Sieg's sales page, purchased a course (which she made a profit on) and became a lead for one of her team members.

She then went on to make a monthly commission on my subscription to the mlm training (which made me her retail customer) and within a short time I was asking Ann Sieg if I could work with her!

This is information marketing at its very best. Ann Sieg was essentially generating leads for her team while generating immediate cash flow for her business, now that is a smart way to operate.

You can pretty much guess that Ann Sieg didn't buy a Red Ferrari and go on a holiday with that cash flow. She reinvested that money into her business and then things started to take a whole new turn.

The Next Level In MLM Lead Generation – Pre-Qualified MLM Leads

By Steve Anderson On February 20, 2009 View Comments

There are mlm leads and then there are the RED HOT, Pre-Qualified mlm Leads that come looking for you. This was a lesson that Ann Sieg was about to stumble upon and it would change the way she approached mlm forever...

So Ann Sieg was now learning all the necessary skills needed to become a professional network marketer but she was still hitting a stumbling block because the mlm leads she was working required a lot of hard work and the success was not proportional to the effort expended.

She went to her upline in that mlm sales and marketing training company and explained her predicament. He had a very successful website which was generating enough leads to supply his immediate downline.

This is where Ann Sieg shifted her focus and guess what happened?

Yep, she started sponsoring people like mad.

These leads were vastly different, they had come to her (well at least to her upline) and requested information. This factor combined with the newly acquired sales skills now meant that Ann Sieg was brutally effective but once again she had hit another stumbling block...

Ann Sieg's upline could supply her with these Pre-Qualified mlm Leads but not the rest of Ann's downline.

This meant that she was able to work these very qualified leads while the rest of her team was stuck working the other leads that were such hard work.

This really troubled Ann because she wanted to help those in her downline succeed. If they were unable to have access to the key ingredient that was allowing her to succeed, how could she expect any real duplication in her mlm organization?

Here is were the true character of Ann Sieg starts to shine through. She could have easily just settled for working the pre-qualified leads that her upline was supplying her with and left her downline out to dry, but she wasn't having a bar of that...oh no, she wanted to provide them with the same opportunity that she was privy to and so now we are about to see the marketing part of Ann Sieg's character develop.

I am not sure if Ann Sieg was aware to what levels her marketing skills would develop as she was mostly focused on the mission of providing an environment in which her team could flourish.

As we will see though, her marketing skills did develop and probably to a degree that surprised her and a number of her colleagues.

The next post in this series - A Light Bulb Goes Off In Ann Seig's Head, is about how Ann Sieg not only come up with a way to generate quality leads for her team but would get paid handsomely to do it.

The Evolution Of Ann Sieg – Becoming A Professional Network Marketer

By Steve Anderson On February 20, 2009 View Comments

When we look at the methods of prospecting mentioned in the previous post, "Who Is Ann Sieg and Where Did She Come From", not many of those methods could be deemed professional.

We would normally think of a professional as someone that you seek out for specific advice in relation to a specific problem. Approaching people who never expressed any interest in the first place does not position oneself as a professional.

When someone comes to us seeking advice, we need to have the skills to identify their immediate concerns and offer a solution that matches their problem. This is what professionals do all day long (except in the cases where pharmaceutical companies are offering a holiday for a certain quota of drug sales, but that is a different issue).

So here were 2 key answers Ann Sieg found that would make all the difference to how she would approach her mlm business;

  1. Positioning herself as a professional so that people would approach her instead of the other way around and...
  2. Having the necessary sales skills to isolate what the prospects wanted and needed to fix, accomplish or avoid and then offer a solution that matched.

When you boil it all down, it is simply good marketing that will have the people approaching you and good sales that will allow you to match your product to their wants and needs.

Here is what happened...

The company Ann Sieg was learning these new skills through was also a mlm lead company. They were teaching her the sales skills and providing her with leads.

This was better than approaching friends, family and random people on the street but how much better?

Not that much it seemed.

These mlm leads where people that had most likely filled out a form to request more information about a home-based business but often it was in order to have the chance to win a free ipod or a car or whatever was being offered at the time.

In addition to this, it is quite a standard practice for mlm leads to be sold to 3 or more other marketers.

With very polished sales skills it is possible to reach a degree of success working these kind of generic mlm leads but it is very grueling work. It means calling many people, facing many rejections, and sending out information to the small percentage of people that agree to take a look at what you are offering.

So it was costing time and energy, not to mention the cost of sending out collateral marketing pieces.

Ann Sieg called well over 100 leads before she got her first interview with someone willing to take a look at what she was offering (now that is determination)!

It was one step closer to consistently growing a mlm business but still a far cry from how Ann Sieg operates these days using her powerful marketing system, The Renegade Network Marketer.
